In The Hysterectomy Hoax, Dr. West takes a firm stand against the surgery except in cases where a woman has cancer. In fact, he persuasively argues that the surgery can do more harm than good and presents unnecessary risks, except in those situations involving a life-threatening illness. In almost every other case, there is an alternative treatment or surgery that avoids hysterectomy.
